Remote Learning Grading Policy
Dear Parents and Guardians,
Thank you for supporting P.S. 298 to bridge the home-school connection during these challenging times. Our joint efforts and strong partnerships will lead our children to their greatest successes. Understanding the difficulty that our families have in juggling remote learning with other equally important priorities, we thank you for continuing to be so supportive of our teachers and our school.
For remote learning the grading policy has been adapted in order to allow for all students to be given an opportunity to succeed.
Remote Learning Grading Policy is as follows
35 % - Classwork
35 %- Homework
15 % - Quizzes
15 % - Tests
Based on evidence of student work and evidence of student engagement, the student has met New York State standards of academic achievement
0-55% - Based on evidence of student work and evidence of student engagement, the student is approaching the New York State standards of academic achievement with minimal growth in the discipline
The P.S. 298 Remote Learning Grading Policy applies to all P.S. 298 students equally with an exception for our 3K and Pre-K students
